IT for law firms: documents, deadlines and confidentiality
The best legal minds are rarely the best IT people, and they should not have to be. We handle the technology so your attorneys handle the law.
Law firms have a particular relationship with technology. The work runs on documents, deadlines and confidentiality, and the people doing it have far more pressing things to do than fix a printer or chase a software vendor.
The technical problems are real, though. Millions of pages to manage, review that has to be right, attorneys working from everywhere, and clients who expect their information to be protected.
We take that on. One central place for case documents, paper turned into searchable files, sensitive data redacted, and security that stands up to scrutiny. There is no magic wand, but there is a lot that can be made easier.
What makes IT hard here
- Documents by the million
- Case files, discovery and correspondence in volumes that paper and shared drives cannot handle.
- Zero-error review
- Review and redaction where a single mistake can be a serious problem.
- Confidentiality
- Duties to clients that make a security incident far more than an IT problem.
- Remote attorneys and staff
- People working from home, court and client offices who need the case file wherever they are.
- One version of the truth
- A central case repository instead of copies spread across inboxes and laptops.
What we do
- Document management
- One repository for case documents, with version control and access permissions.
- Scanning and OCR
- Paper files scanned and made searchable, including large backlogs.
- Digital redaction

- Controls that protect client confidentiality and survive a client's security questionnaire.

- Vendor-neutral advice when you are choosing new legal software.
Questions we get asked
Can you guarantee our software vendors' costs?
No. Third-party software costs are set by the vendor and outside our control. We will tell you what to expect and help you negotiate, but we will not promise what we cannot deliver.
Can you scan our closed files?
Yes. Large scanning backlogs, with OCR so the files are searchable and redaction where sensitive data needs removing.
Do you work with small firms?
Yes. Most of our legal clients are small and mid-sized firms without their own IT staff.
