IT support and compliance for Texas companies without an IT department.

We are a Texas company, headquartered in Austin. The help desk your staff call, the people accountable for your security and compliance, and the ones who answer to your board about technology, for companies too small to hire all three.

Texas, specifically

The Texas rules sit on top of the federal ones.

Plenty of national providers can run a help desk. Fewer know that a Texas company carries obligations beyond HIPAA and SOC 2, and build for them from the start.

Texas HB 300

Texas medical privacy law reaches more organisations than HIPAA does and adds its own staff-training duty. If you touch health information in Texas, HIPAA alone is not the finish line.

Healthcare & anyone handling PHI
Texas Data Privacy and Security Act

In force since July 2024, and unlike most state privacy laws it has no revenue threshold. It applies to most businesses that are not SBA-defined small businesses. We map what it asks of you.

Consumer data
Railroad Commission reporting

Operators file with the Texas Railroad Commission alongside PHMSA, DOT and EPA. We build those reports to pull data automatically instead of being assembled by hand.

Oil & gas
One provider across the state

Offices in Houston and staff in Austin, or a field operation spread across the Permian and the Gulf Coast. One help desk, one set of standards, one invoice.

Texas questions we get asked

Do you work outside the big four metros?

Yes. Help desk, security monitoring, compliance and vCIO work are remote and run the same anywhere in Texas, or outside it. We come on site across Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio.

Do we need to worry about Texas privacy law as well as HIPAA?

Often, yes. Texas HB 300 extends medical privacy duties to more organisations than HIPAA covers, and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies to most businesses that are not SBA-defined small businesses. We will tell you which apply to you on the first call.

How fast do you respond?

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm Central, with critical support nights and weekends. A technician takes the call and makes the first attempt; anything not quickly solved goes straight to a senior engineer.

We are a small Texas company with no IT staff. Is that too small for you?

That is the core of what we do. Most of our clients have somewhere between ten and a hundred people and nobody internal who owns technology. We become that function rather than supplementing it.

Can you help us get SOC 2 or HIPAA compliant?

Yes, including picking it up part-way. Companies usually stall at the same point: the auditor has listed the gaps in language that assumes you already know how to close them. We run the remediation and stay for the evidence cycle. None of that work needs us in the room.

We are not in Texas. Can you still work with us?

Yes. We work with companies across the US and abroad. Compliance and vCIO work never needed us in the room, and remote help desk works the same wherever you are.

Thirty minutes, and you will know where you stand.

We will tell you what we would do and what the ceiling would be. No obligation, and you keep the findings either way.
